Masterson Foods in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Processing Specialist for the 3rd shift to set up, operate, and tend equipment that blends, mixes, and heats ingredients according to prescribed formulas. Duties include equipment changes, weighing and combining ingredients, monitoring temperature, documenting lot numbers and process data, collecting samples for QA, and cleaning to GMP

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in industrial maintenance, culinary, food & beverage, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a food, drug, or beverage manufacturing environment in similar role.
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds continuously.
• Experience in batch, compounding, or mixing.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on quality and precision.
• General knowledge of OSHA Codes, GMPs, and sanitary design; basic environmental regulations.
• Ability to apply basic math concepts to production processes (weight/volume conversions).

Responsibilities

• Set up and change over to meet production requirements, including adjusting valves and equipment.
• Weigh and mix ingredients according to formulas; manage feeding into kettles and mixers.
• Monitor cooking process, regulate temperature, and ensure proper temperatures.
• Pump product into holding tanks and monitor temperatures and equipment like homogenizers.
• Maintain documentation: lot numbers, deviations, temperatures, speeds, and process charts.
• Take samples for Quality Control and Lab testing as needed.
• Clean and sanitize vessels and equipment per GMP and safety standards.
• Follow SOPs, GMP, Food Safety, and standardized work procedures.
