Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a 3rd shift Bun Line Chop Saw Operator at our Conover, NC manufacturing plant. You will operate chop saws and various equipment for polyurethane foam product manufacture, coordinating with QA and supervisors to meet internal and external customer needs.

The role requires reading tape measures, forklift experience, and the ability to work a 7:00pm–4:30am shift with potential overtime. College prep not required, high school diploma or GED acceptable.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a saw cutting machine is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment required.
• Good communication and advanced math skills.
• Must be forklift certified or experience with sit down forklifts.
• Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and call-in with little notice.
• Must be able to lift master roll up onto the cutting table up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
