Performance Food Group is seeking a skilled fleet technician for the 3rd shift to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with PMs, brakes, electrical systems, and refrigeration, with responsibilities including thorough documentation and road-call support.

The position emphasizes adherence to state and federal trucking regulations, training peers, and maintaining roadworthy vehicles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on fleet diesel equipment.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and other components; replace worn parts.
• Ensure roadworthy licensing and registrations.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand and power tools for repairs.
• Train other employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
