Job summary

Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Jacksonville DC to maintain, install, and repair facility and automation equipment. The role emphasizes safe repair of conveyors, HVAC, air compressors, and electrical systems, with welding as needed.

You will coordinate with Facilities Manager, support daily operations, and manage CMMS work orders while maintaining inventory and safety compliance. OT and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency to input work performed and use MS Outlook.
• Ability to MIG and Stick Weld and use tools effectively and safely.
• Operate powered equipment including yard trucks and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance/repairs to powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems.
• Repairs to building equipment such as air compressors, HVAC, plumbing/electrical; welding as needed.
• Communicates with Facilities Manager on repair status and operational impact.
• Supports warehouse operations and building projects; completes CMMS/work orders.
• Maintains inventory management and paperwork; performs other related duties.
