Job summary

Harper Industries Inc. is seeking a dependable 3rd Shift Laser Operator to support our fabrication team. This role begins earlier in the day to backfill first shift work and transitions to primary laser operations, demanding accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of reading blueprints and setting up machines. You will maintain quality, safety, and a clean work area while contributing to on-time production

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC laser cutting preferred.
• Familiarity with fabrication equipment such as Piranha ironworker, tube bender, and press brake is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and use standard measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing throughout the shift.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Position Title: 3rd Shift Laser Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our 3rd shift team. This role begins earlier in the day to support first shift operations before transitioning to primary laser operation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be flexible, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• - Operate CNC laser cutting equipment, ensuring accuracy and part quality

Physical Requirements:

• - Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, lifting, and movement
• - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and over 50 lbs with assistance frequently (team lift or mechanical aid)

Work Environment:

• - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with temperatures that vary seasonally
• - Must wear required personal protective equipment in accordance with company safety policies, including company-provided safety glasses and employee-provided steel-toed footwear; additional PPE may be required based on job duties.
