Job summary

Harper Industries in Harper, KS is seeking a mechanically inclined Laser Operator on the 3rd shift (6:30pm-5:00am, Monday-Thursday). You will operate CNC laser cutting equipment, set up machines, read blueprints, and ensure part quality. This is a 4-day workweek with company paid training and opportunities to advance across fabrication equipment.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with a drive to learn new fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting equipment and ensure part quality.
• Set up and monitor machines based on job specs and production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and instructions.
• Set up and operate CNC plasma equipment.
• Perform quality checks using calipers and tape measures.
• Handle and organize materials before and after cutting.
• Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for next production phase.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report issues promptly.

Harper Industries is looking for a mechanically inclined individual who i s motivated to learn new things to join their team as a Laser Operator in Harper, KS.

Familiarity with Fabrication equipment and /or experience with CNC Laser Cutting is a HUGE plus!

This is a 4-day workweek, 3rd shift opportunity.

• Set up and monitor machines based on job specifications and production requirements

• Set up and operate CNC Plasma
• Perform quality checks using calipers, tape measures, and other tools
• Handle and organize materials before and after cutting
• Clean, deburr, and prepare parts for the next production phase
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report issues promptly
