Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Elgin, IL is hiring for a on-site technician role. The position involves installing, configuring and troubleshooting photo eyes, switches, PLC I/O modules, and associated wiring.

You will work with 480V 3-phase power, servo drives and HMI interfaces, performing ladder logic programming, and diagnosing Profibus/industrial Ethernet communications. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and proven PLC experience.

Qualifications

Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems.
Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital controls in 480V, 3-phase power environments.
Proficiency reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with ladder logic programming and HMI interfaces.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules, and control wiring.
Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC-based control systems and HMI interfaces.
Program and modify PLC logic (ladder) and related control software.
Diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet) and safety procedures.
Maintain equipment like Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production lines.
