Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an on-site Maintenance/Controls Technician in Carol Stream, IL. The role involves installing, configuring and troubleshooting photo eyes, proximity and limit switches, PLC I/O, and control wiring. Expect to work 3rd shift with overtime and doubled time after 48 hours.

You will diagnose and repair PLCs, servos, encoders and load cells, and program PLC/HMI interfaces. Strong safety practices and reading electrical schematics are essential.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems.
Experience with troubleshooting packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Proficiency reading electrical schematics and using computerized maintenance systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches and PLC I/O modules.
Troubleshoot analog and digital controls across 480V, 3-phase systems, motors, VFDs, servos and soft starts.
Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; perform ladder logic modifications.
