Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a full-time Electrical Maintenance Technician for a high-quality paperboard packaging company in Buffalo, NY. The role involves maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, installing wiring, and ensuring codes compliance.

The 3rd shift runs Mon-Fri 9:50pm–6:00am with a $1.00 differential. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairing drive/motor systems, and PLC troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Electrician's license preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep machines and building systems in good condition.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, and components; follow checklists.
• Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, and fixtures.
• Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Troubleshoot drives and PLCs; diagnose malfunctions and correct issues.
