Job summary

Jefferson Industries Corporation in West Jefferson, OH is hiring a Die Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10:00 pm–6:30 am). You will maintain and repair stamping dies, perform in-press repairs, and operate welding and fabrication tools to keep lines running.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up presses, and following safety and ISO procedures while contributing to continuous improvement and training of new associates.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with supervision and associates clearly.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and drawings.
• Skilled troubleshooting of dies and mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs the maintenance and repair of stamping dies to maintain quality and efficient production.
• Performs in-press die repairs and troubleshooting when necessary.
• Sets-up and operates die spotting presses for die making, modification and repair.
• Takes ownership of die during maintenance and evaluates issues beyond repair.
• Sets-up and operates TIG, MIG, Arc welders and grinders to complete tasks.
• Reads engineering drawings/blueprints and follows instructions to complete tasks.
• Sets-up and operates conventional machine tools for machining and fabrication.
• May attend die trials as requested.
• Follows PPE and safety policies; reports injuries or unsafe conditions.
• Keeps work area clean and maintains tools and equipment; practices 5S.
• Communicates shift matters with supervisors and team members.
• Assists training and development of new associates; supports continuous improvement.
