Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, optimize processes, and read precise blueprints to ensure high-quality mechanical power transmission components.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, program troubleshooting, and a collaborative approach with supervisors and quality staff. Expect a non-climate controlled shop environment with opportunities for growth and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Proficient with CNC machining operations including turning, drilling, and live tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and routing instructions.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and geometric tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Set up full production cycle and operate CNC Lathe machines.
• Optimize setup times and maximize machine utilization.
• Read blueprints and route instructions accurately.
• Troubleshoot programs and adjust as needed.
• Follow in-process inspection protocols and report non-conformances.
• Coordinate with supervisors and quality personnel to resolve issues.
• Maintain safety and wear PPE throughout shift.
• Document issues for shift transition and perform daily maintenance checks.
