Job summary

Weir Minerals in St. Louis, MO is seeking a CNC Machinist for 3rd shift (10:00pm – 6:30am). The role involves setting up machines such as drill presses, lathes, and machining centers to produce volutes, valve bodies, disks, and impellers, with deburring duties as needed.

You will work with Fanuc controls, perform setup adjustments, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing of mining equipment parts.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 3+ years of experience as CNC Machinist preferred (set up/operator).
• Experience with Fanuc controls is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operations: Operate machine to prove-out setup and produce pilot work piece for inspection.
• Diagnose machine or tooling malfunctions and make proper adjustments.
• Setups involve changing chucks, collets, face plates, tool feeds, grind, and related adjustments.
• Custom engineered parts fabrication for mining equipment.
• 30% Mill - 70% Lathe machining.
• Precision handling on multi-tooled arrangements with tight tolerances.
