Job summary

Vaupell is seeking a CNC Machinist Operator - Milling for the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) at our Agawam, MA facility. The role involves producing precision parts on CNC lathes, milling machines, and bridgeports, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, measuring parts, maintaining documentation, and ensuring parts meet specifications. Experience with Makino, Haas, and Robodrills is preferred; HS diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years of job-specific experience.
Experience with CNC machining for milling/turning operations is preferred.
Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Loads, operates, cleans and maintains CNC machines and other shop equipment as directed.
Ensures parts meet specifications to achieve customer satisfaction.
Verifies settings by measuring specifications on work pieces.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing.
Taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
Maintains accurate quality records and documentation per regulatory and internal requirements.
Follows all Vaupell policies, SOPs and safety practices.
