Job summary

VAUPELL NORTHEAST in Agawam, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist for milling on 1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).

The role involves operating CNC lathes, milling machines and bridgeports to produce precision parts, with a focus on meeting specifications and quality records. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with CNC experience, 3+ years in the field or technical schooling, and ability to read and follow English instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with CNC machining experience.
• 3+ years CNC experience or graduate from technical program.
• Ability to read, speak, understand and follow English.
• Must wear and properly use required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Loads, operates, cleans and maintains CNC machines and other shop equipment as directed.
• Verifies settings by measuring specifications on work pieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.
• Taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, SOPs and safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
