Job summary

Vaupell Northeast in Agawam, MA, is seeking a CNC Machinist - Milling for 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.). You will operate CNC lathes, milling machines and Bridgeports to produce small to medium parts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of job-specific experience.
• Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Loads, operates, cleans and maintains CNC machines and other shop equipment.
• Assures that parts are made to specification to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Verifies settings by measuring specifications on work pieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.
• Taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned
