Job summary

Johnson Controls, Burlington, MA, is seeking a manufacturing technician on the 3rd shift to set up, calibrate, and operate machines for metal sheet stack forging. You will follow SOPs, inspect products, perform routine maintenance, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

This role requires precise attention to detail, ability to read schematics, lift heavy objects, and work five days onsite. You’ll collaborate with engineers on R&D projects and contribute to process improvements while

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in the production processes.
• Work from verbal or written instructions through SOP’s or work instructions.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Set up and operate a CNC production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to select and operate laser cutting machines specialized for metal sheet stack forging.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
• Inspect material and products to strict quality standards and communicate any discrepancies at any point in the production process.
• Collaborate with engineers and support staff on R&D projects and process improvements.
• This role requires 5 days onsite per week.
