Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support unit/patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will access patient information and may assist with medication storage as related to duties.

Shifts are nights, 12-hour blocks, with every other weekend coverage, requiring physical ability and adherence to safety standards including BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for the NC.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Nursing Assistant assists with unit/patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Access to patient health information as related to job responsibilities.
