Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Sheboygan is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a part-time role with 24 hours per week. Shifts may be 2-12 hour periods (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) or 3-8 hour periods (9:45 PM–7:15 AM). Every third weekend and up to two holidays annually are required.

Responsibilities include assisting RN with patient care, monitoring vital signs, EMR documentation, and supporting admission/ discharge tasks. Must meet BLS/ CNA requirements and maintain patient safety throughout.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and strong oral and written communication required.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities are essential.
• Team member should understand and follow hospital procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, daily weights and other patient data in EMR accurately.
• Perform rounding under RN supervision and communicate patient observations and needs promptly.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes with proper room setup and patient belongings.
• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Transport duties and stock management for nursing area; maintain equipment and work areas.
