Job summary

King Battery Corporation is seeking an IND Casting Operator for the 3rd shift in Fremont, OH. You will set up and changeover equipment, operate line processes to produce alloyed grids, and ensure parts meet quality specifications.

The role requires dependable attendance and adherence to safety and quality guidelines. Responsibilities include machine setup, mold changeovers, SPC checks, and packaging parts for storage.

Qualifications

• Safety and environmental training required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Annual hazardous waste/scrap management training.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervision, and management.
• Familiar with inspection equipment, gauges and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, shutdown, monitor and control machine operations and adjust settings to stay within specifications.
• Produce alloyed grids used as conductive structures in the battery.
• Perform mold, ladle, and die changeovers.
• Perform SPC checks on parts for weight and thickness.
• Paletize produced parts, label products and materials correctly, store products.
• Inspect produced parts for adherence to quality characteristics.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment for proper operation and timing.
• Perform day-to-day housekeeping on production floor and surrounding area.
• Complete daily paperwork and record-keeping.
• Work overtime as required and follow Crown Quality System procedures.
