Job summary

Crown Battery Corporation in Fremont, OH is seeking a General Maintenance Technician (GMT) for 3rd shift. The GMT is responsible for routine maintenance, preventative maintenance of plant equipment, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electrical systems, and basic PLC/robotics familiarity. You will participate in shutdowns, start-ups, and continuous improvement with the Maintenance team.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
Minimum high school diploma.
General maintenance knowledge.
General knowledge of 480-volt 3ph electricity.
General understanding of PLC controls, logic, and programming.
Familiarity with company, facility, departments, equipment, procedures and set-ups while working with personnel.

Responsibilities

Performs preventative and basic maintenance, adjustments, set-ups and repairs on all production and facility equipment to insure minimal downtime.
May work irregular hours and weekends as production and maintenance needs dictate.
Assist with plant shutdowns and start-ups.
Responsible for parts and material requisition.
Assist with planning and decision-making for maintenance.
Be familiar with robotics functions and knowledgeable about operations.
Identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities.
Support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
