Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Edwardsville, KS is hiring for a Canning Line Operator on the 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:30am) with training on the 2nd shift. You will operate canning equipment, move ink tubs with a forklift, weigh products, and apply labels to containers.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, reliable attendance, and strong attention to detail, plus good verbal and written communication. Forklift experience is preferred and manufacturing exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor canning line equipment according to work instructions
• Safely operate a forklift to retrieve and transport ink tubs to the production area
• Position tubs on the appropriate equipment for processing
• Assist with dispensing or pressing ink from tubs into buckets and other containers
• Weigh filled containers to ensure product accuracy
• Apply labels to containers and prepare finished products for handling and shipment
• Prepare containers, labels, and materials needed for production
• Follow production orders and established procedures
• Clean equipment and transport tubs to the tub washer when production is complete, as required
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Participate in training and TPM activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned
