Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Building Engineer to support daily operations of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing. The role involves basic carpentry and metal work, responding to tenant requests, and closing work orders as needed.

This is a second shift position available Tuesday through Saturday at Cira Center, 2929 Arch Street. The engineer will perform hands-on maintenance, follow safety policies, and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure reliable building

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the engineer role
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• OSHA ACM awareness training as required
• Building automation systems experience
• Energy conservation knowledge; formal training preferred
• State/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC with universal refrigerant recovery license

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs buildings, utilities, grounds and equipment
• Optimizes maintenance of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment
• Troubleshoots and repairs to keep equipment running
• Provides hands-on training to engineering team members
• Supports safety programs and energy conservation initiatives
• Records data in logbooks and maintains compliance with codes
• Communicates with Chief Engineer and tenants
• Supports OT shifts for tenant events and team collaboration
