Job summary

Custom Building Products in Logan Township, NJ is seeking a Batch Operator to join the night shift. You will be the first step in the quality process, blending our products timely and accurately, and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This 3rd shift position runs Sunday night through Friday morning, 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with overtime and a $1.50/hr shift premium. After 90 days, performance-based increases up to $1.00/hr are possible.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience in batch blending or similar blending processes preferred, training is provided.
• Ability to read work orders and follow complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas and production instructions precisely, including ingredient sequencing and raw material codes, to ensure consistent product quality
• Weigh, measure, and load ingredients into mixers according to specifications; take samples, coordinate with Quality Control, and make adjustments as needed
• Operate mixing and blending equipment for cement, grout, mastic, and cleaning products; monitor automated systems when required
• Maintain accurate production records, including batch logs, maintenance reports, calibration records, and shift handoff documentation
• Assist with packaging and material handling as needed to support production flow
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements, actively participating in safety training and reporting or correcting unsafe conditions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
