Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking a Batch Operator for our Grand Prairie, TX plant. You will be the first step in the quality process, blending products on a 1st shift schedule, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime as needed.

You will weigh and mix ingredients, load materials, and interact with Quality Control to ensure accurate batches. This role emphasizes safety, productivity, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior batch or blending experience preferred, but training is available.
• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Experience operating automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas and production instructions precisely, including ingredient sequencing and raw material codes, to ensure consistent product quality.
• Weigh, measure, and manually load ingredients into mixers according to specifications; take samples, coordinate with Quality Control, and make adjustments as needed.
• Operate mixing and blending equipment for cement, grout, mastic, and cleaning products; monitor automated systems when required.
• Maintain accurate production records, including batch logs, maintenance reports, calibration records, and shift handoff documentation.
• Assist with packaging and material handling as needed to support production flow.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements, actively participating in safety training and reporting or correcting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
