Job summary

Traditional Medicinals, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineering Technician on the 3rd shift (11pm–7:30am) in Rocky Mount, VA. You will oversee, maintain, and optimize automated manufacturing systems, and provide leadership to a small team in a fast-paced production environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrate systems, document performance in CMMS/ERP, and collaborate with engineering and production to reduce downtime and improve product quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in maintenance and automation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical automation degree is a plus.
• Experience operating and maintaining automation equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation controls desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in automation.

Responsibilities

• Operate automation equipment to maintain production levels, reduce downtime, and ensure quality.
• Maintain equipment, maintenance schedules, and repairs to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance.
• Assist in installation and setup of new automation systems with calibration.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Enforce safety protocols and participate in safety teams.
• Utilize CMMS, quality software, ERP to optimize production.
