Job summary

Traditional Medicinals in Rocky Mount, VA, seeks an Automation Engineering Technician for the 11pm–7:30am shift to oversee, maintain, and optimize automated systems within our manufacturing facility. You will lead and support the team, uphold safety standards, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement across production lines, working onsite with cross-functional engineering and production staff.

Experience with PLCs, CMMS, ERP, and quality software is valued, as is a technical diploma

Qualifications

3–5 years of maintenance and automation experience.
Proven operation and maintenance of automation equipment.
Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Manage automation equipment to maintain production levels, reduce downtime, and ensure quality.
Perform maintenance, scheduling, and repairs to prevent failures.
Maintain accurate records of performance, maintenance tasks, and repairs.
Assist with installation and setup of new automation systems and calibration.
Collaborate with engineering and production to identify process improvements and cost savings.
Enforce safety protocols and participate in safety teams.
Utilize CMMS, ERP, and quality software to optimize production.
