Job summary

Traditional Medicinals in Rocky Mount, VA is seeking an Automation Systems Technician for the third shift (11pm–7:30am). You will operate and monitor automated equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement.

You will use CMMS, ERP, and quality software, maintain GMP compliance, and train teammates on proper operation while collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year operating and maintaining automated machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated machinery and equipment to ensure efficient production.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, coordinating repairs with maintenance.
• Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineering teams to optimize processes.
• Replenish materials used by automation equipment to support production.
• Provide training and support to teammates on proper operation.
• Enforce safety protocols and comply with GMP standards.
• Utilize CMMS, ERP, and quality software to optimize production.
