Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc is seeking an Assembly Lead for the 3rd shift in Horicon, WI. The role involves overseeing the assembly line, directing assemblers, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery. You will mentor staff, maintain organization, and support continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Shifts run 10pm–6am, Sunday through Thursday. A $1000 signing bonus and benefits are offered, with opportunities for advancement in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform dimensional measurements and quickly learn precision measurement tools.
• Ability to perform simple math and measurements.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent physical activity and ability to use PPE as required.
• Able to work in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing and assisting assemblers.
• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Coordinate orders with material handling and Production Control.
• Position parts and subassemblies and assemble components.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolve assembly problems and request resources as needed.
• Contribute to scheduling to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as required.
• Document actions and maintain production quality records.
