Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler for the 1st shift in Horicon, Wisconsin. You will assemble components by following instructions, reading blueprints, and gathering parts and tools for production.

The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and runs 6am–2pm, Monday to Friday. The facility offers paid holidays and vacation, advancement opportunities, and on-the-job training, with a $1000 signing bonus available.

Qualifications

• Basic math is required.
• Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing helps.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by checking connections for fit and fastening parts.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolves assembly problems by adjusting dimensions and coordinating with supervisor for resources.
• Keeps equipment operating by performing preventive maintenance and following manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintains safe, clean work environment and adheres to safety rules.
• Manages supplies by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort and assumes related duties as needed.
• Ensures compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
