Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Furnace Melt Operator for the 3rd shift in Cedarburg, WI. You will operate and maintain industrial melting furnaces, charge materials, skim impurities, and collect samples to ensure alloy quality for aluminum die casting.

Direct-hire, full-time with solid benefits and career growth. Eligibility includes at least 2 years in prior roles in foundry/metals, US work authorization, and a 45-minute commute or less.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; stable work history with 2+ years at each prior employer.
• Foundry or heavy manufacturing melt/furnace experience preferred.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI and be US-authorized.

Responsibilities

• Operate & charge industrial melting furnaces with ingot, sows, and scrap per melt specs.
• Tap furnaces and skim impurities to maintain temperature and cleanliness.
• Pull lab samples and submit for chemical analysis and alloy verification.
• Perform basic furnace maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Operate forklifts/overhead hoists to move ingots and containers.
• Record production data and track attendance and quality metrics.
• Adhere to OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and 5S standards.
