Job summary

Htprof in Cedarburg, WI is seeking a Furnace Melt Operator to support 3rd shift in our precision die casting facility. You will tap, charge, skim, and maintain melting furnaces, providing high-quality molten metal for die-casting cells.

This direct-hire role offers starting pay up to $31/hr, a 401(k) with company match, full health and dental benefits, and bonus opportunities for strong attendance. 45-minute commuting radius required, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Career stability with a requirement of at least 2 years per previous employer.
• Foundry/melt operations background in aluminum/zinc/magnesium or heavy industrial casting.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI area.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate & Charge Furnaces: Set up and operate industrial melting furnaces with ingot, sows, and scrap according to melt specs.
• Tap & Skim Molten Metal: Tap furnaces and skim impurities while maintaining temperature and cleanliness standards.
• Pull Samples for Quality Analysis: Collect and label metal samples for lab testing and alloy verification.
• Perform Basic Furnace Maintenance: Clean furnaces, burner's wells, and transfer equipment; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Operate Material Handling Equipment: Use forklifts/overhead hoists to move ingots, sows, containers, and finished product.
• Track Production & Documentation: Log material quantities and maintain attendance/quality records.
• Enforce Safety & 5S Standards: Follow OSHA rules, Lockout/Tagout, PPE for hot metal, and 5S shop-floor organization.
