Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated teacher for IDEA Academy to ensure students master academic and social skills needed for college success while embodying IDEA’s values daily.

You will design rigorous lessons, analyze data to drive instruction, and foster a learning environment that supports all scholars. The role emphasizes collaboration with families and a strong campus culture.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification or work-experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution is required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies certification for teachers of record for K-3 or willingness to obtain TX training.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track each student’s progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
