Job summary

Kitware is seeking a PhD-level researcher to advance algorithms for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video. You will contribute to TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield while collaborating with researchers and presenting results to partners.

You will publish in top conferences, explore AI/ML approaches, and engage with national/international conferences, with a focus on practical, open-source software deployment.

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science or related field.
Experience using multiview geometry to develop 3D reconstructions from imagery/video.
Experience with AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or camera calibration.
Proficiency in C++ and/or Python with good software practices.
Strong publication record in top-tier venues (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV).

Responsibilities

Research and develop algorithms for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
Present research findings to customers and collaborators.
