Job summary

Kitware is seeking a PhD-level researcher to advance 3D vision, including photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video. You’ll contribute to open source frameworks such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield, and explore applications across aerial, satellite, underwater, and synthetic aperture radar data.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS or related field required.
• Experience applying multiview geometry to build 3D representations from imagery or video.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python; strong software development practices.
• Track record of publications in top-tier venues (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV).

Responsibilities

• Research and develop algorithms for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
• Contribute to open source projects TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
• Collaborate with researchers and present findings to customers and collaborators.
• Seek funding to grow research areas and participate in conferences such as CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/WACV/3DV.
