Job summary

Kitware is seeking a PhD-level researcher to advance photogrammetry, camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video. You will contribute to TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield, collaborating with colleagues and customers to publish results and apply state-of-the-art AI approaches to challenging datasets, including aerial imagery and CCTV scenarios.

The role supports presenting findings at major conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) and exploring new research directions

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with multiview geometry to build 3D recon from imagery/video.
Experience with AI/ML for 3D reconstruction or camera calibration.
Proficient in C++ and/or Python with good software practices.
Strong publication record in top CV venues (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV).
Collaborative by nature in a fast-paced environment.
US Citizens only due to contractual restrictions.
Willing to apply for TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

Research and develop camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction solutions.
Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
Collaborate with other researchers to develop and peer-review ideas.
