Job summary

Kitware seeks a PhD-level researcher to advance 3D vision across photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video. You will contribute to TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield while exploring AI/ML approaches to complex imaging challenges.

You’ll collaborate with government and industry partners, publish in top venues, and have opportunities to present findings at conferences. A strong publication track record and eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance are

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field required.
• Experience using multiview geometry to develop 3D reconstruction algorithms from imagery/video.
• Experience with AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or camera calibration.
• Strong software development practices; proficient in C++ and/or Python.
• Strong publication record in top-tier venues (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV).
• Innovative approach and demonstrated ability to solve technical imagery challenges.
• Experience collaborating in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• US Citizens only due to contractual restrictions; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
• Detailed publication list to accompany resume/CV.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop algorithms for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
• Contribute to open source projects such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
• Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
• Prepare and present research findings to customers and collaborators.
• Engage in national/international conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, WACV, 3DV).
• Seek funding to grow and develop research areas, if desired.
