Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in NYC is seeking a 3D Technical Designer for children\'s apparel to develop and maintain fit and construction standards.

You will create spec packages, review development samples, and lead fit sessions with Design and Production. The role requires knowledge of Browzwear 3D software, patternmaking, and garment construction, with office-based work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience, children swear experience
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar software.
• Familiar with measuring sample points of measurement to ensure submitted samples are within tolerance of required specifications
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction
• Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology and garment construction
• Have understanding of garment manufacturing and product development process
• Proficient in Excel and MS Word; knowledge of Illustrator a plus
• Must be willing to work in the office 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain fit/ construction standards with Design and Production to ensure brand quality.
• Create style spec packages with correct grade rules and construction details.
• Measure and evaluate development/ proto samples for spec, quality, workmanship.
• Lead fit sessions with Design and Production departments.
• Provide measurement, construction, and workmanship feedback to vendors with diagrams as needed.
• Ensure products meet children's safety requirements with Production and Compliance.
• Answer vendor questions by email on fit, specs, pattern, and construction.
