Job summary

KingRecruitingServices in New York City is seeking a 3D Technical Designer to develop and maintain fit and construction standards for our children's apparel line. You will collaborate with Design and Production to ensure brand consistency and high quality across styles.

The role requires at least two years of relevant experience, Browzwear 3D software, and solid knowledge of knit and woven garments, patternmaking, and construction. Office-based, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience, children’s wear experience.
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar.
• Familiar with measuring sample points to ensure tolerance of required specs.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction.
• Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology and garment construction.
• Understanding of garment manufacturing and product development process.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; Illustrator a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain fit and construction standards for brand consistency.
• Create spec packages with correct grade rules and non-standard details.
• Accurately measure development and proto samples for specs and workmanship.
• Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production Depts.
• Communicate measurement, construction and workmanship comments to vendors with diagrams.
• Work with Production and Compliance Depts to ensure all products meet safety requirements.
• Answer questions via email regarding fit, specs, pattern and construction.
