Job summary

Formlabs in Boston seeks a 3D Print Optimization Engineer (June 2027 New Grads) to push the capabilities of our SLA & SLS platforms. You will drive root cause analysis across mechanics, software, materials, and customer use, and design experiments to isolate underlying behaviors in a multi-variable system.

You will work cross-functionally with hands-on ownership, focusing on customer impact, and developing scalable solutions that improve print speed, reliability, and part quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in optimization of manufacturing/printing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design and interpret experiments.

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of SLA & SLS printers.
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, software, chemistry, and optics.
• Design efficient experiments to tease out variable interactions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver tangible print improvements.
