Formlabs is offering an SLS Print Process Intern position in Somerville, MA, for Summer 2027. You’ll work on the Print Optimization Team to improve print performance across hardware, software, and materials.

This is a full-time internship with hands-on, cross-disciplinary problem solving and opportunities to impact customer print quality. We value portfolio work and comfort with CAD tools like SolidWorks, plus basic Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of our SLS 3D printing platforms.
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, thermodynamics, and customer behavior.
• Design efficient experiments to reveal underlying system behavior.
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems and develop impactful solutions.
