Formlabs in Somerville, MA is seeking a 3D Print Optimization Engineer to push the capabilities of our SLA and SLS printing platforms. You will drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, thermodynamics, and customer behavior to boost print performance.

You will design efficient experiments, work across disciplines, and develop solutions that deliver faster, more reliable parts for customers.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in any science/engineering discipline.
• Customer-focused with ownership and attention to detail.
• Willing to cross-discipline boundaries to solve problems.
• Autonomous worker able to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of SLA & SLS 3D printing platforms.
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, thermodynamics, and customer behavior.
• Design efficient experiments to reveal underlying behavior in a complex system.
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems.
• Develop and commercialize solutions that improve customer print performance.
