Job summary

ICON is seeking a Print Operations Technician to support the Print Operations team in Austin, TX. You will handle logistics for raw materials, consumables, and printers, assist with troubleshooting and maintenance on ICON’s 3D printers, and follow daily instructions from leads and managers.

The role involves moderately challenging tasks, a growth mindset, and adherence to ICON’s policies. Travel for extended durations is expected, with flexible nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or related fields.
• Basic diagnostic tool proficiency with multimeters to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems and components; ability to operate heavy machinery under supervision.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and components; able to perform tasks under supervision.
• Basic understanding of inventory or ticketing systems for tracking parts and documenting work steps (training provided).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Print Execution: support delivery, inventory management, and organization of building materials during shifts.
• Service and Repairs: assist diagnosing and repairing printer issues, coordinate parts, perform replacements and calibrations.
• Performance and Data Reporting: ensure SOP compliance and provide real-time progress updates.
• Operate diagnostic tools and document QC measurements on material samples.
• Update and maintain detailed work steps and resolutions in ticketing systems.
