Job summary

East Coast Metrology is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel across the U.S. and occasionally internationally, solving precision measurement challenges at customer sites with advanced laser trackers, portable arms, 3D scanners, and metrology software.

You’ll work hands-on at manufacturing facilities, labs, and shops, perform inspections from blueprints and CAD models, and report dimensional data. Travel will be heavy, and independent problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with laser trackers, portable arms, 3D scanners, or CMMs.
• Experience with PolyWorks or PC-DMIS.
• Blueprint reading and dimensional inspection skills.
• Valid driver''s license.
• Comfortable working in industrial/shop environments.
• Independent, adaptable, hands-on, and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate FARO and Leica laser trackers, portable arms, and 3D scanners.
• Perform precision inspections using blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Capture, analyze, and report dimensional measurement data.
• Use PolyWorks and/or PC-DMIS.
• Work at customer sites, manufacturing facilities, shops, labs, and our in-house facility.
• Travel 80%+, primarily throughout the U.S. with occasional international assignments.
