Field AI is seeking a Mapping Solution Engineer to own deployment, integration, and performance of 3D mapping solutions in real-world environments. You will work with robots, sensors, and customer environments to ensure reliable field deployments and ongoing improvements based on feedback.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Geomatics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in robotics software development, 3D mapping, or field deployment of complex systems.
• Strong programming in C++ and Python with production-grade experience.
• Experience with 3D geometry, point cloud processing, ICP and NDT.
• Familiarity with ROS, Git, and Linux/Ubuntu environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade 3D mapping software and data processing pipelines.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of mapping data products and handoffs to customers.
• Support on-site and remote deployments and demonstrations for customers.
• Collaborate with software, robotics, operations, and customer teams to resolve issues.
• Create deployment processes, docs, and best practices for future rollouts.
• Translate field observations into technical improvements.
