Job summary

Staples is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our distribution team in Kansas City, MO. You will operate material handling equipment, assist with receiving, replenishment, and shipping, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced facility.

You may be assigned to six areas, from bulk handling to returns, with overtime as required. Prior warehouse experience and a safety-first mindset are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ months warehouse experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work additional hours for full-time role as needed.
• Able to lift/push/pull 70–100 lbs by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets or electric pallet jacks to move product up to 100 lbs.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside/outside the facility.
• Execute replenishment tasks, move product safely and adhere to procedures.
• Handle receiving/putaway/returns; verify product accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with shipping: stack, shrink-wrap, and load customer orders.
• Opportunity to move between SC1/SC2 roles as needed.
