Job summary

Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Full-time 340B Compliance Specialist to help ensure program compliance. You will collaborate with pharmacy staff, software vendors, wholesalers, and manufacturers to maintain policies and records and perform monthly audits.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of pharmacy experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and must obtain 340B University Certification within three months of hire.

Qualifications

  • 340B University Certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Pharmacy Technician or Medication Access Coordinator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to ensure compliance of the pharmacy 340B program.
  • Maintain required 340B program records and audit readiness.
  • Conduct monthly internal audits and report discrepancies to the Program Manager.
  • Liaise with wholesalers, third party administrators, and other stakeholders.

Providing support to ensure compliance of the pharmacy 340B program. Works closely with pharmacy staff, software companies, wholesalers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Participates in the ongoing maintenance of program policies and procedures. Maintains required 340B program records. Performs audits to ensure compliance with policy and/or regulatory requirements. This position will specialize in the following areas: proficient in math, audit, maintenance/IT, and/or compliance.

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Demonstrates collaboration, critical thinking, and teamwork when facilitating standards and operational decisions and resolving issues.
  • Utilizes data to identify opportunities for improvement and applies 340B program expertise to identifying and implementing plans. Demonstrates data-driven approach for project prioritization and strategies.
  • Identifies opportunities that address program needs, policy/process changes, and education to align with the organizational strategy and priorities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
  • Processes invoices and requisitions and serves as liaison to wholesalers, third party administrators, and other internal and external customers.
  • Assists with quality control and third-party administrator software maintenance.
  • Serves as liaison to pharmacy staff, internal and external customers.
  • Conducts monthly internal audits of the 340B program to ensure compliance with the program policies and procedures. Immediately reports any discrepancies/deviations to the 340B Program Manager.
  • Performs other responsibilities as requested by 340B Program Director
General Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent .
  • At least t hree ( 3 ) years of pharmacy work experience.
  • 340B University Certification required (within three months of hire) .
  • Pharmacy Technician or Medication Access Coordinator experience strongly preferred.
