Job summary

Legacy Community Health in Houston, TX seeks a Pharmacy Technician - 340B Compliance Specialist to oversee data governance for the 340B program and serve as QA liaison between pharmacy and clinics.

You will develop systems to limit liabilities, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with 340B regulations while supporting inventory, purchasing, and ongoing staff training. Strong Excel skills and collaboration across IT, accounting, and clinical teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current PTCB certification and Texas registration required.
  • Passing a math test relevant to retail pharmacy activities.
  • Ability to maintain CPR/BLS as required.
  • Three years of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience with 340B program compliance or auditing preferred.
  • Strong communication with staff and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date policies on 340B purchasing processes.
  • Develop systems to limit liabilities and perform audits to identify risk.
  • Review 340B policies and contribute improvements for compliance.
  • Create 340B QA training for staff as appropriate.
  • Assign staff to 340B University OnDemand training by role.
  • Educate staff on 340B policies related to inventory management.
  • Participate in 340B program audits and resolve issues.
  • Perform scheduled audits and monthly self-audits of 340B operations.
  • Ensure compliance with 340B requirements for patients, drugs, and sites.
  • Monitor Medicaid claims to prevent duplicate discounts and rebates.
  • Use Excel or similar tools to filter non-eligible transactions.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility in mixed-use clinics.
  • Maintain adherence to 340B regulations across facilities.
  • Collaborate with IT, internal audit, and accounting to improve compliance.
  • Provide data and reports to other business units as needed.
  • Maintain copies of reports for compliance and audits.
  • Develop monthly/quarterly/yearly audit metrics with stakeholders.
  • Monitor prescription data, payer data, and site of care.
  • Oversee purchasing, receiving, and inventory control processes.
  • Manage inventory par levels and safeguard system integrity.
  • Perform annual inventory and monthly cycle counts.
  • Monitor ordering processes with current wholesale pricing.
  • Analyze invoices, shipping, and inventory processes.
  • Comply with track-and-trace requirements of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
