Job summary

Parker Hannifin is looking for a dedicated individual to manage material handling and transport responsibilities within the plant in Kearney, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will ensure safety and quality while operating equipment, managing paperwork, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and preferably some experience in a manufacturing setting. The position offers an hourly pay range of $20.77-$24.42 and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Job description

Position Summary

Responsible for handling and transporting a variety of materials, parts, products, or other items in support of the production and warehousing functions throughout the plant.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs handling and transporting duties as outlined in the Process Instruction for the assigned work area.
  • Changes propane tanks, charges and changes batteries on forklift trucks as required.
  • Removes scrap materials from the department as required.
  • Performs cycle counting as required.
  • Completes paperwork as required, including material transfers, receiving, scrap, and time reports, daily forklift inspection forms and others.
  • Performs inventory transactions using computer terminals or RF devices.
  • Operates forklift, hand pallet truck, barrel lift, floor sweeper, floor scrubber, and yard truck as required.
  • Completes the forklift’s daily inspection form.
  • Uses communication and mathematical skills in the performance of duties.
  • Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
  • Observes safety rules at all times and immediately reports unsafe conditions to department supervision.
  • Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance with all company procedures and policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Three months’ work experience in a manufacturing setting.
Compensation
  • Hourly pay range: $20.77-$24.42.
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
