Job summary

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools seeks a 31A Paraprofessional at Tenniswood Elementary to support instructional staff and students.

This part-time position (27.5 hours/week) requires assisting the teacher with learning materials, tutoring students, and maintaining clear communication with colleagues, parents, and students.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit, an Associates degree or passage of a State approved test required.
• Michigan teaching certificate preferred.
• Ability to assist the classroom instructor with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and work with individual classroom instructors.
• Experience working with students.
• Ability to assist academically at-risk students in a classroom setting and in an individual tutoring.
