Job Description

The Human Resources Hiring Specialist works closely with hiring managers and the onboarding specialist as a key partner in identifying and selecting qualified candidates who align with the organization’s workforce needs and culture, and is responsible for finalizing candidate screening and selection process from the point applicants are determined to meet minimum qualifications through the completion of the hiring process. This position conducts detailed applicant reviews, coordinates interviews, performs reference and background verifications, communicates with candidates and hiring managers, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and employment regulations. The HR Hiring Specialist also assists with onboarding tasks of selected candidates to the onboarding process.

Location: Onsite in Round Rock, TX/Remote

Hourly Salary Range: $26.00 – $29.00

Differential Detail

• $1.00 per hour – 2 year tenure with BTCS
• $1.00 per hour – Career Ladder Specialty
• $1.00 per hour – 2 years previous experience in a similar role

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one year experience in employment recruitment and/or talent acquisition with demonstrated experience conducting applicant screenings, interviews, and reference checks.
• Knowledge of recruitment and selection principles and practices.
• Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and equal employment opportunity requirements.
• Strong analytical and evaluation skills.

Ability To Assess Candidate Qualifications And Make Sound Recommendations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and applicant tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or IPMA-HR.
• Experience in public sector recruitment and selection.
• Experience coordinating high-volume recruitment activities.

Salary Amount $54,080.00 – $60,320.00/year
